As Chair of USITT at Texas Tech, I took the lead on reinstating our chapter with the university after a period of inactivity due to COVID. This was a challenging process that required extensive training and learning as I went, but it laid the foundation for the chapter’s current growth. In my role, I lead the organization in planning events, coordinating scheduling approvals, and running meetings. I prepare our chapter for the national USITT conference and collaborate with other student organizations to provide technical support for student-run productions within the School of Theatre and Dance. My focus is on fostering professional development, creating networking opportunities, and supporting the growth of technical theatre students.
